Once again, I've been searching for a publisher of pulp style stories. Weird Tales had rejected me in the past, and I can see why. The writing style of the 21st century varies greatly from that of the 20th, and is even further removed from the great pulp writers such as REH, Lovecraft, Smith, Burroughs, Phil Farmer and Piers Anthony. The stories I come across in WT are entertaining, but would a modern day REH be accepted?
Searching high and low across the internet, I came across Big Pulp, which seems to be one of the only outlets for pulp fiction I could find. Sent in a query today, and we'll see what happens.
Seems stories about guys wielding magic daggers, trying to stop human sacrifice in California are not in demand.
Fingers Crossed.
